If you are interested in a confidential conversation with a member of the Development Team about making a donation, or would like further information about projects, priorities or student support, please contact us using the box in the right hand side of this page.

Legacy gifts
Leaving a legacy gift is one way you can act today to support ¾«Æ·¶ÌÊÓ and future generations of students. We are grateful that you are considering a gift to ¾«Æ·¶ÌÊÓ in your will.
As a registered charity (number SC002750), a legacy to Queen Margaret University in most instances is tax free and will reduce any inheritance tax burden on your estate.
We recommend that you also seek advice from a solicitor in order to make a will or add a simple codicil to your will.
We would like to thank you personally for your support, so please let us know if you have, or intend to, remember us in your will. For further information on leaving a legacy please contact Thomas Kelly.Ìý
Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax payer, you can make every £1 you give - or have given - worth 25p more, just by telling us. This is because, if you make a Gift Aid Declaration when donating to the University, HM Revenue and Customs will increase your gift to us by 25p for every £1 you give. This means that you can make an even bigger difference at no extra cost to you!
Gift Acceptance Policy
¾«Æ·¶ÌÊÓ is deeply grateful to all donors for their generous support towards the University and is dedicated to treating donors with the highest level of care and respect. As such we have established the ¾«Æ·¶ÌÊÓ Gift Acceptance Policy which sets out the principles that the University will follow when seeking and accepting gifts from individuals, charitable trusts and corporate bodies. It also sets out the commitments that it makes to donors and prospective donors.
We respect donors’ rights to privacy and fully comply with the Data Protection Act of 2018.Ìý
Data Protection

If you are an existing alumnus or supporter, all information held by the University is treated confidentially and with sensitivity.
The data may be used by the University, recognised alumni clubs, or agents of the University for a range of alumni activities, including sending publications, offering benefits and services, organising reunions, membership administration and in our fundraising programmes, in writing, by telephone and electronically.
Under the terms of the 2018 Data Protection Act you have the right to object to the use of your details for any of these purposes at any time.
